Roof Replacement on Weeping Spring Dr in Cypress, TX

About This Project

Weeping Spring Drive sits in a Cypress 77429 subdivision built in the mid-2000s, which means nearly every house on the street is now on its first replacement roof. This brick one-story got CertainTeed Landmark in Weathered Wood in August 2024, chosen to warm up the cool gray brick rather than match it.

Two things were done differently here. The dome vents on the back slope were swapped for low-profile units that sit flatter against the shingles, and the ridge was finished with cut three-tab caps rather than a pre-formed accessory, which gives a lower line on a roof this close to the street.

The set mixes ground shots of the side and rear elevations with the crew's close-ups of the hip caps and the new pipe boots. Look at the eave line in the rear photo: that clean edge is the new drip edge, which the old roof never had.
