Roof Replacement on Barrow Cove Dr in Cypress, TX

About This Project

A single-story brick home on Barrow Cove in the Jarvis Road side of Cypress, a few minutes from our office. The roof is a hip design with a 9/12 pitch at the main body, which is steep enough that the crew works it off toe boards. The old three-tab shingles came off, and a gray architectural shingle system went on with new synthetic underlayment.

Ventilation was the biggest change. The house had dome vents scattered across the back slopes, which we removed and replaced with a continuous ridge vent paired with new 8-inch four-way intake vents. We also set 2-inch drip edge around the full perimeter, replaced every pipe boot with new bullet boots, and installed a new 14-inch HVAC jack. The homeowner asked to keep the satellite dish, so it was reset on the new roof rather than removed.

The job finished with a power wash of the house exterior and a fresh coat of paint on the trim and metal. This roof carries the manufacturer's extended workmanship warranty, which we offer on full replacements installed by our own crews.
