Roof Replacement on Hazeldale Dr in Cypress, TX

About This Project

A two-story stone-and-brick home on Hazeldale Drive in Cypress 77429, replaced in August 2026 with a dark brown architectural shingle that matches the trim. The main roof is a 9/12 pitch with a front gable over the entry and a long hip at the back over the covered patio.

Scope on this one followed our standard replacement spec. Eight pieces of ridge vent along the peaks, four 6-inch four-way vents on the steep slopes for intake, two turtle vents on the lower section, and 1.5-inch drip edge all the way around. The crew replaced six bullet boots in two sizes and both HVAC jacks, and removed the old satellite dish rather than reinstalling it on the new roof.

The back of this house has a large covered patio with its own roof section that ties into the main hip. Those tie-ins are where we see the most leaks on Cypress homes from this era, and they were re-flashed rather than re-sealed.
