Roof Replacement on Therrell Dr in Houston, TX

About This Project

February 2025 on a one-story in Houston's 77064 near Jersey Village. The crew built it in a single day in cool February weather.

This is a hip-roofed house with a front gable and a brick chimney. Scope was a complete tear-off with new flashing, new boots and vents, a driftwood laminate and capped hips.

77064 is one of our busiest zips and this house is typical of it: 1980s brick one-story, long hip roof, a chimney on the rear slope. The chimney cricket was rebuilt.

The chimney cricket on this house had been built from a single bent piece of metal, which is common on 1980s production homes in 77064 and is why so many of them leak behind the chimney. The rebuilt cricket is framed in wood, decked and shingled like the rest of the roof, with the flashing lapped over it.

Six photos show the ridge, chimney and slopes.
