About This Project
A steep two-story in Houston's 77064, finished in June 2025 in CertainTeed Weathered Wood. The pitch on this house meant harness work on every slope and a dump trailer parked on the driveway for the full day.
Along with the shingles, the crew re-flashed the chimney and the wall ties on the second story, replaced the pipe jacks, and followed up a week later to hang new gutters on the back of the house.
On a roof this steep the schedule runs differently. Tear-off is done in strips rather than whole slopes so the deck is never open across a full face, and the dry-in follows the crew section by section. It takes longer than a walkable roof of the same size, but the house is never exposed if a Gulf shower rolls through mid-afternoon.
