About This Project
A March 2025 replacement on a one-story brick home in Houston's 77064, three months before we did a second house on the same street. The roof is a mix of hips and a gable over the garage.
Along with the shingles the crew replaced the gutters and re-roofed the backyard patio cover. The homeowner handled the exterior painting separately once the roof was done.
The patio cover is worth a note. Most Houston patio roofs are framed lighter than the house and the old shingles on them are often the originals, long past the main roof's age. Roofing it in the same run keeps the two surfaces in step and avoids a mismatched strip of faded shingle in every backyard photo.
The photos show the hip ridges, the gable over the garage and the patio with the new roof above it.
