About This Project
A one-story home on Shannondale in Spring 77388, replaced in June 2024. The house has two roof types: a pitched main roof that got a gray-blue architectural shingle, and a five-square flat section beside the stone chimney that cannot take shingles and was re-roofed in torch-down modified bitumen.
The transition between the two is the detail that matters on a house like this. The membrane runs up under the shingles at the step, the stone chimney was re-flashed on both roofs, and the dome vent on the main slope was replaced. The rooftop photos show the flat section with the chimney, the hips and ridge, and the shingle field.
A detached shed on the property was quoted separately and left for later, which is how we handle outbuildings so the homeowner can decide on each one.
