About This Project
A two-story home on Colony Hurst Trail in Spring 77373, replaced in November 2024 with a gray architectural shingle. Like its neighbor a few doors down, the main roof runs at 10/12, which shapes everything from how the crew stages the job to how much ventilation the attic needs.
The crew ran seven sections of ridge vent along the peaks and set two four-way intake vents on the steep slopes, replaced eight three-in-one pipe jacks, a dryer vent and both HVAC jacks, and installed 1.5-inch drip edge around the full perimeter. The satellite dish was removed with the old roof.
The photos are the crew's close-out set from the ridge: the long main peak, the hip intersections, the valley at the rear, and the lower slope with its new box vent. A steep roof photographs well from above, and it also shows every cap and cut, which is why we take these.
