About This Project
A two-story stucco home on Salta Verde Point in Katy 77494, replaced in June 2024 with a gray architectural shingle. At 66 squares with several 9/12 sections, this is one of the larger residential roofs we installed that year, and the crew staged it over two days rather than pushing it into one.
Five sections of decking were replaced where the old roof had let water in, the gutters were taken down so new drip edge could go on behind them and then reset, and a 16-foot ridge vent run was hand-nailed along the main peak. The upper gables and the rear balcony roof were flashed into the stucco with new kick-out flashing.
The photos show the side elevation under the pines, the upper gable, the corner detail and the rear of the house with the balcony. On a stucco home the flashing at the wall is the whole job; shingles are the easy part.
