About This Project
A one-story home on Pecan Lane in Katy 77494, replaced in January 2025 with CertainTeed Landmark shingles in a charcoal blend. The house has a long main ridge with hips at both ends and a lower rear section that steps down over the back rooms.
The crew replaced the turbine vent and the dome vents on the rear slope, flashed new pipe jacks into the field, and capped the ridges and hips with matching caps. The wrapped fixtures in one of the photos are vents being protected from sealant and debris while the shingles went on around them.
The rooftop photos show the main ridge, the rear slope above the shed, the step-down section and the hips at the back. A clean rear hip line is the easiest place to see whether a roof was cut and capped carefully, which is why we photograph it on every job.
