Roof Replacement on Lake Sherwood Dr in Katy, TX

About This Project

A one-story home on Lake Sherwood Drive in Katy 77450, replaced in December 2024 with a charcoal architectural shingle. The house mixes brick and lap siding, and the job went beyond the roof: the siding on the back porch had rotted at the roofline and was replaced with new fiber-cement boards before the roof went on.

The photos here are the exterior walk-around rather than rooftop shots, because the eaves and walls are where this job shows. New drip edge runs the full perimeter, the fascia was repainted, and the porch wall is tight and square again where it meets the new roof.

Some interior repair work was also done on this house after the roof was dry. We mention it because a roof that has been leaking for a while rarely stops at the shingles, and we would rather handle the trim, siding and drywall that go with it than leave the homeowner finding three more contractors.
