About This Project
A two-story brick home on Park Bend Drive in Katy 77450, replaced in June 2024 with a gray-brown architectural shingle. The house has a large brick chimney on the main slope and a patio roof at the back, and the photos are the crew's rooftop set after the install.
The chimney was re-flashed with new step and counter flashing cut into the brick, the two turbine vents were replaced, and the pipe jacks were flashed into the new shingles. The top-down shot over the patio shows the new drip edge and the gutter line below it. New ridge caps run across the main peak and the hips.
A roof like this in 77450 is usually 25 to 30 years old by the time it is replaced, and the chimney flashing is almost always the first thing to fail. We replace it on every job rather than resealing the old metal.
