About This Project

A two-story brick home on Park Villa Drive in Katy 77450, replaced in August 2024 with a gray-brown architectural shingle. The house backs onto a pool, so the crew tarped and netted that side during tear-off, and the rooftop photos show the ridge running above it.

The brick chimney got new step and counter flashing, the turbine vent was replaced, and the ridge was capped end to end. The last photos in the set are close-ups of the ridge cap detail and the field, which is how we check our own work before the final walkthrough with the homeowner.

Metal roofing was discussed for this house and set aside; on a brick two-story in this neighborhood an architectural shingle is the right cost-to-life answer, and it matches the surrounding roofs.
