About This Project

July 2024 on a large two-story brick home in west Houston's 77041. At 68 squares this is one of the biggest residential roofs we have done, with steep second-story slopes, a brick chimney and a covered patio.

The work: strip to the deck, then new flashing at the chimney and walls, two sheets of decking replaced, ridge vent on the main runs, new boots and vents and a charcoal laminate.

A roof this size is a logistics job as much as a roofing job: two trailers, material staged in the driveway in stages, and the pool side netted so nothing landed in the water.

Five photos show the house and the finished roof.
