Roof Replacement on Glascow Grn in Houston, TX

About This Project

A two-story home on Glascow Green in the 77089 area of southeast Houston, re-roofed in September 2026 in Weathered Wood architectural shingles. The house has a rooftop solar array, so the first day of the job was spent detaching and racking the panels before the old roof could come off, and the last day putting them back on new mounts flashed into the new shingles.

Underneath, the work was a standard full replacement: new synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water shield in the valleys, and new drip edge. The crew replaced the turbine vent and the pipe jacks on the rear slope and reset the skylight on the low front section with new flashing. Fixtures that stayed on the roof during the install were wrapped to keep debris and sealant off them.

The 77089 area has a lot of homes from the same two or three building waves, which means a lot of roofs hitting end of life together. This was one of four replacements we completed within a mile of each other in the same month.
