Roof Replacement on Spindle Arbor Rd in Cypress, TX

About This Project

A one-story home on Spindle Arbor Road in Cypress 77429, replaced in June 2026 with an architectural shingle in Driftwood, a light gray blend that keeps the roof cooler than the darker colors most of the neighborhood has. The photos are the crew's rooftop set, taken the evening the roof was finished.

The penetration count on this roof was unusually high for its size: nine three-in-one pipe jacks, two 4-inch HVAC jacks, and a dryer vent all had to be flashed into the new shingles, along with two sections of ridge vent and four turtle vents. Every one of those is a potential leak on a roof that has been patched over the years, so all of them were replaced rather than reused.

Cypress in June is hot enough that the crew started at first light and photographed the finished roof after six. The hip and ridge detail in the second photo is what a properly capped roof looks like from above.
