About This Project
A two-story brick home on Bedford Falls in Cypress 77429, replaced in April 2026 with IKO Cambridge architectural shingles in Weathered Wood. The crew's material list for this one ran to 38 bundles of shingles plus three-tab for the caps, synthetic underlayment across the field, a roll of ice-and-water shield for the valleys and starter strip at every eave.
The penetrations are what make a roof like this take a full day: ten plumbing stacks each got a new three-in-one boot, four turtle vents were replaced, and the skylight on the front slope was reflashed. The ridge was capped end to end along the main peak and the hips.
The rooftop photos show the finished hips, the skylight, the main ridge and the rear slopes with the neighbors' homes beyond. Blue tarps on the ground in a couple of shots are the drop cloths protecting the beds and patio during tear-off.
