Roof Replacement on Shillington Dr in Katy, TX

About This Project

A two-story brick home on Shillington Drive in Katy 77450, replaced in May 2024 with a gray-brown architectural shingle. The roof is 44 squares across a mix of one-story and steep two-story sections, with a brick chimney on the main slope and a pool at the back.

The crew replaced six sections of decking, re-flashed the chimney with new step and counter flashing, installed synthetic underlayment with ice-and-water shield in the valleys, 1.5-inch drip edge and starter strip around the perimeter, and ran ridge vent along the main peak. Four other flashing points were replaced, and the roof was hand-nailed.
