Roof Replacement on Meadow Village Dr in Houston, TX

A Google search brought this Copperfield homeowner to us. The roof is a 7/12 one-story in Houston's 77095, replaced in September 2025 in CertainTeed Weathered Wood.

The spec called for eleven pieces of ridge vent, an 8-inch four-way vent, 3-inch and 5-inch HVAC flashings, three lead pipe jacks and a turbine. Six feet of soffit and five feet of rot board were replaced on the rear eave before the new 1.5-inch drip edge went on. The decking was priced by existing squares, with no charge for waste.

The rot board and soffit were on the north-facing rear eave, which is where we see this most often in Copperfield: shaded, slow to dry and fed by a gutter that overflowed for years before anyone noticed. Replacing the wood before the drip edge goes on is a small line on the spec but it is what keeps the new roof edge solid.
