About This Project
A one-story home on Carla Way in the wooded part of Cypress 77429, replaced in March 2024 with a charcoal architectural shingle. At 52 squares with a long covered patio at the back, this is a bigger roof than it looks from the street, and the lot is thick with mature pines.
The tear-off uncovered eleven sections of rotted decking, which were cut out and replaced before any underlayment went down. The brick chimney got new step and counter flashing, the gutters were detached so new drip edge could go on behind them and then reset, and 44 feet of ridge vent was run along the main peak.
The photos are the ground walk-around: the rear of the house with the patio and the new roof above it, the chimney side, and the front under the pines.
