Roof Replacement on Brook Grove Dr in Kingwood, TX (January 2025)

About This Project

January 2025 on a two-story in Kingwood's 77345. The homeowner chose Cedar Crest, a warm brown laminate with a wood-shake look, and had gutter screens added once the drip edge was in.

The roofline is a hip with a front gable and a brick chimney worked in. The crew tore it to the decking and installed new flashing, new boots and vents, capped hips and ridge.

Gutter screens are close to mandatory in Kingwood. The pines drop needles year-round and a screened gutter is the difference between cleaning once a year and once a month.

This is the third roof we have done on Brook Grove Dr, and each homeowner picked a different color. The first two went with grays; this one chose Cedar Crest, which is bold on a street of gray roofs and looks right against the brick. Kingwood HOAs allow it, and it has become the sample we show when a homeowner says they want something warmer.

Eight photos show the Cedar Crest color, the chimney and the slopes.
