About This Project
This Houston home had a solar array sitting on a roof that was past its service life, which turns a straightforward re-roof into a sequencing job. Our crew detached and racked the panels first, stripped the old shingles down to the decking, and installed new underlayment and architectural shingles in a light tan blend before the panels went back on their mounts.
The photos were taken the afternoon the roof was finished, with a storm front rolling in behind the house. That timing was deliberate: we do not leave a roof open overnight, and every penetration, including the new pipe jacks along the main slope, was sealed before the crew left.
Solar homes are more common across Houston every year, and most roofing companies either refuse them or hand the panel work to a third party. We handle both sides so the homeowner has one point of contact for the roof and the array.
