About This Project
A two-story home on Ridge Top in north Houston's 77090, off FM 1960, replaced in July 2026 with a charcoal architectural shingle. The front elevation has two shed dormers and a skylight, so the install involved a lot of flashing work for the size of the roof.
The crew re-flashed both dormers where they meet the main slope and replaced the skylight flashing kit rather than resealing the old one. New ridge caps run across the main peak and the garage, and the pipe boots on the rear slope were replaced.
The last photos in the set show the rear roof and the field from the ridge, including the dome vents installed on the back slope for exhaust. A roof this age in 77090 has usually been through two or three hail events, and this one had.
