About This Project
May 2024 on a one-story in Houston's 77005 near West University. The house has a flat-roofed rear section that aerial reports do not measure well, so the crew hand-measured it and corrected the scope before ordering.
The main roof got a full tear-off and a gray laminate with new boots and vents. The flat section got a modified bitumen membrane with new edge metal and a proper transition to the shingle roof.
Flat-to-shingle transitions are the single most common leak on 77005 houses, where nearly every original bungalow has a flat addition. The transition on this one was rebuilt from the deck up.
Four photos show the house and the finished roof.
