About This Project
A two-story in Pearland's 77581 with an unusual history: the roof had been replaced in 2021 by another contractor who never pulled the permit or had it inspected. To get the windstorm certificate, the roof had to be done again. We rebuilt it in January and closed the file in February 2024.
This time it was permitted, built to the Texas windstorm standard and inspected. Structurally this is a hip roof carrying a front gable; full tear-off, new boots and vents, a driftwood laminate and capped hips.
A roof without the certificate in the windstorm zone is a roof the homeowner cannot prove is compliant, and that matters at renewal. Doing it right the second time was the only way to fix it.
