About This Project
August 2025, a one-story hip roof in Houston's 77040 re-shingled in Heather Blend, a warm brown-tan laminate that matches the lighter brick on this street.
The scope was a straightforward tear-off and replacement with new synthetic underlayment, new boots on the plumbing stacks and a capped ridge on every hip. Final measurements came in a little under the original count, which is always the better surprise.
Heather Blend is one of the warmer laminate colors and it is an easy pick for the tan and buff brick that runs through this part of 77040. Against a red brick it can look muddy, which is why we bring the sample board to the driveway rather than choosing from a catalog.
Four photos show the hips, the boots and the view toward the cul-de-sac.
