About This Project
May 2025 in Missouri City's Quail Valley, 77459. This was a three-day project: day one the roof and the start of the fascia, day two the siding and fascia, day three paint inside and out.
The roof was ten to twelve years old with three active leaks, which is early for a laminate. The tear-off showed why: the previous installer had skipped flashing at the wall ties. The new roof is CertainTeed Weatherwood with proper step flashing throughout.
A roof that leaks at twelve years is almost always an installation problem, not a material problem. Fixing it means replacing the roof, not patching the three spots.
Four photos show the finished roof and the house.
