About This Project

December 2024 in Houston's Memorial villages, 77024. The homeowner chose the CertainTeed 5-Star warranty, so every component is CertainTeed and the workmanship is covered for 25 years.

Up top it is a large hip design, a boxed chimney and several dormers included. The crew tore it to the decking and installed new flashing at every dormer wall, new boots and a charcoal laminate. The gutters were replaced once the drip edge was in.

A hump in the ridge line showed up during the tear-off where two rafters had sagged. The crew sistered the rafters and shimmed the deck flat before the new roof went on, so the ridge now runs straight.

Eight photos show the dormers, the ridge and the finished house.
