About This Project
January 2025 on a two-story in Richmond's Aliana area, 77407. The homeowner upgraded to a high-profile ridge cap, which gives the hips and ridges a thicker shadow line and reads as a more expensive roof from the street.
The rest of the spec: eleven pieces of ridge vent, three 8-inch four-way vents on the 6/12 slope, one 3-inch and one 4-inch HVAC flashing, six 3-in-1 pipe jacks and a dryer vent. Bullet boots were added for the smaller stacks.
Aliana is new enough that this was the first replacement on the house. The builder roof had failed early at the ridge, which is why the homeowner was focused on the cap.
