Roof Replacement on Lynnbrook Falls Lans in Humble, TX

About This Project

Twelve sections of ridge vent is a lot for a one-story, and it tells you what was wrong with this roof on Lynnbrook Falls Lane in Humble 77396 before we got there: a dozen static vents scattered across the slopes, none of them moving much air. The June 2024 replacement swapped all of that for a continuous ridge vent and a charcoal architectural shingle.

Fall Creek was built in a short window in the mid-2000s, and the attics were vented to the minimum code of the day. Pulling the old vents, decking over the holes and cutting a proper ridge slot is the part of this job that will matter most in August.

Eight photos from the ridge, taken in June heat with the crew's shadows on the field. The last one is a close view of one of the new dome vents at the eave, which replaced an old plastic unit that had cracked.
