About This Project
The homeowner on Fawn Springs Court in Cypress 77433 asked for one upgrade that most people skip: ice-and-water shield across the entire deck, not just the valleys and eaves. On a one-story in a hail corridor it is the difference between a roof that leaks after the next storm and one that does not. The roof went on in July 2024 in Weathered Wood.
Full-deck ice-and-water is a self-adhered membrane under the shingles, so even if hail bruises the field or wind lifts a tab, water has nowhere to go. It costs more and adds a few hours to the dry-in.
The turtle vents were replaced and the chimney re-flashed. Five photos from the ridge, taken in July heat.
