About This Project
April 2025 on a two-story in Houston's Energy Corridor, 77077. This one started with a door knock: the homeowner had seen our trucks on the street, called the office to find the rep, and had a contract signed the same week.
From the ridge you can read the whole roof: a steep hip-and-gable hip with a brick chimney and several wall ties on the second story. The work: strip to the deck, then new step and counter flashing, new pipe boots and a weathered-gray laminate.
Energy Corridor homes from the 1980s have big, complex roofs with lots of valleys, and the valleys are where they fail. Each one on this house was re-lined with ice-and-water membrane before the shingles went on.
