About This Project

A one-story in Houston's 77044 near Lake Houston, tarped in July 2024 after a storm and replaced in August 2024 once the scope was settled.

It has a hip-style roof: a front gable and a stone-and-brick front elevation. Old roof off, deck checked, then new flashing, new boots and vents, a driftwood laminate and capped hips.

A July tarp in Houston has to survive the afternoon storms for weeks, so it was battened rather than just weighted. It held until the build.
