About This Project
A one-story home on Caraway Ridge Drive in Cypress 77433, on the Bridgeland side, replaced in October 2024 with Weathered Wood architectural shingles. The crew's take-off for this roof was 84 bundles of shingles, three rolls of synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water shield for the valleys, 31 sticks of drip edge and six sections of ridge vent on a 6/12 pitch.
The roof has a second-story wall rising above part of the main slope, so a 100-foot run of step flashing was replaced where the shingles meet the siding. Five three-in-one pipe boots, a new HVAC base and cap, a turbine vent and an air hawk vent were flashed into the new field.
The photos are from the ridge after cleanup, looking out over the Bridgeland rooftops. Homes here are mostly from the late 2000s, so this was one of the first replacements on its street; most of the neighbors are a year or two behind.
